<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> EHCP Writer<br> <strong>Location:</strong> London<br> <strong>Contract Type:</strong> Temporary<br> <strong>Salary:</strong> Daily rate, 280- 300<br> <strong>Start Date:</strong> 15/09/2025</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented <strong>EHCP Writer</strong> to join our team and support the creation and review of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).</p><p>This role is critical in ensuring that EHCPs are clear, person-centred, legally compliant, and reflect the needs, aspirations, and outcomes for the child or young person.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Draft high-quality EHCPs in line with the SEND Code of Practice and local authority guidance.</li><li>Translate professional reports and multi-agency contributions into clear and coherent EHCP sections.</li><li>Ensure all EHCPs are legally compliant and meet statutory requirements.</li><li>Work collaboratively with SEN officers, educational psychologists, health and social care professionals, schools, and families.</li><li>Review and update existing EHCPs as needed, incorporating updated assessments and feedback.</li><li>Manage deadlines efficiently to ensure timely completion of plans.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience writing or reviewing EHCPs.</li><li>Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation (Children and Families Act 2014).</li><li>Excellent written communication and editing skills.</li><li>Ability to understand and synthesise complex information from a range of sources.</li><li>Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.</li><li>Able to work independently and manage competing priorities.</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable</strong></p><ul><li>Background in education, SEN, social work, or allied health professions.</li><li>Experience working within or alongside a local authority SEND team.</li><li>Understanding of person-centred approaches and outcomes-focused planning.</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p><ul><li>Flexible working arrangements (remote/hybrid options)</li><li>Supportive and collaborative team environment</li><li>Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with SEND</li><li>Ongoing training and professional development</li></ul><p><strong>To Apply:</strong><br> Please submit your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role to (url removed)</p><img src=\"https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?KYKsghbyG5umgJULbdE9vE4kGjOcl8Bdz\" width=\"0\" height=\"0\" />
