<p><strong>IT Project Manager (Infrastructure, Telephony, Azure)</strong></p><p><strong>6 Months</strong></p><p><strong>Lancashire (1-2 days onsite)</strong></p><p><strong>£550 to £600 a day (Inside IR35)</strong></p><p><br>I am currently looking for a hands-on IT Project Manager to deliver a small portfolio of projects. Candidates must be used to working in a fast-paced setting, be proficient at putting together concise project plans and have previously been involved in discovery projects and programmes. Candidates should have extensive third-party supplier / vendor management and have a strong understanding of horizon scanning and demand planning / forecasting.<br><br><strong>Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Creation of project proposals and / or business cases for the technical projects in conjunction the IT/Tech Business Stakeholders. </li><li>Develop and deliver a rolling programme / workstack of work for the agreed technical projects: Providing an ongoing forward view of required change.</li><li>Own the production of the detailed project plans, setting guidance to deliver the end-to-end project, providing project reporting and appropriate documentation.</li><li>Conduct capacity planning and resource modelling to inform sequencing; accurately forecast demand for the different skillsets.</li><li>Contract management of the delivery of services provided by third parties to strict KPI's.</li><li>Provide effective planning, control and monitoring of the project budget including resource utilisation and any fixed or external costs. </li></ul><p><br><strong>Essential Skills<br><br></strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience of managing a small Portfolio of multiple IT Projects.</li><li>Experience of working on Telephony, Infrastructure and Application projects.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of Cloud Azure, IaaS, SaaS. </li><li>Sound foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure, architecture, application upgrades, and cloud releases. </li><li>Considerable experience of managing and contracting cloud-based service providers, data centre providers, and telecoms providers. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms, to a varying degree for differing stakeholders. </li><li>Excellent contract management skills. </li><li>Previous experience of demand management, forecasting and horizon scanning.</li><li>Ability to produce clear and concise project plans, project reports, and documentation.</li><li>Proficient in the use of delivery and collaboration tools (i.e. DevOps, SharePoint.
