Additionally, we operate a marketplace—similar to Eventbrite—enabling medical professionals to find, book, and host educational events and activities. Our mission is to empower medical students and healthcare professionals by providing an accessible, trusted platform for education, career development, and professional networking within the NHS and beyond. We strive to address the NHS training crisis and improve accessibility to valuable educational resources. Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and strategic Marketing & Undergraduate Relations Lead to lead our marketing, advertising, and student engagement initiatives across UK medical schools and healthcare communities. This part-time, remote role requires approximately 5 hours per week, offering flexible working hours around your studies or clinical commitments. Remuneration options include a £250 monthly salary (equivalent to £15/hour) or 0.75% equity in Careerbook. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy targeting medical students and societies Build and sustain Careerbook’s presence across key social media channels through regular content creation, posts, and campaigns. Promote webinars, events, and updates within relevant student WhatsApp groups Identify and coordinate participation in key student events, including Freshers’ Fairs, university career days, and medical society meetings. Maintain a calendar of student-focused engagement activities and marketing milestones. Support strategic partnerships and collaborations with student societies and networks. Use Monday.com, Slack, and WhatsApp to manage, track, and report on marketing activities and progress. Oversee a small marketing budget with accountability for expenditure proposals and tracking. Contribute innovative ideas to continuously enhance Careerbook’s visibility and impact. Qualifications & Experience Required: Current UK medical student or qualified doctor, OR significant experience working directly with medical schools, NHS trusts and healthcare student organisations; alternatively, a degree in marketing/advertising or extensive experience in marketing and advertising ideally in healthcare. Demonstrated interest in healthcare, medical education, and career development. Proven experience managing social media accounts and digital marketing campaigns. Strong written communication and content creation skills. Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced startup environment. Competence in communication, customer service, market research, sales, and marketing strategy. Ability to work independently and remotely. Experience in undergraduate relations or student marketing is a plus. Desirable: Experience working in startups or early-stage ventures. Familiarity with marketing and project management tools such as Canva, Monday.com, and Excel. Experience planning and managing events or campaigns with a budget.
